Sunbrella – Keeping Your Car Shielded From The Sun

If you life in a hot climate, with the sun constantly beating down on you, you will realise that you need to do more to protect your vehicle. If you live, as I do, in Phoenix, you will know that the sun relentlessly shines, and while this is lovely and enjoyable for us, our cars don’t enjoy it as much.

I found that the Sunbrella cover, from Covercraft, is the key to keeping the car in a healthy state. The acrylic fibres that the Sunbrella cover is made from are naturally UV resistant. The material is woven and hence prevents any ultra violet rays from coming and harming the car. At a lower degree, Sunbrella is water resistant too. This is fine for the odd occasion when we get a shower or two. Then the car won’t be left entirely to its own defences.

Sunbrella will automatically resist the growth of any rot or mildew. In most environments, the acrylic material will be able to resist this growth. It will also prevent the build up of dust on the CarShield cost, so that it always looks clean, and shiny, not old and dusty.

If not for the Sunbrella cover, the paint work and finish of the car would quickly become faded from the sun. The uv rays bleach the exterior, made it look much older than it really it. Sunbrella have a marvellous feature in that the cover itself will not get bleached and the colour will always stay fresh. Covercraft dye the acrylic fibres before they are even woven, so that the colour is embedded into the material, and not just on the surface. There is a choice of five colours that Sunbrella comes in; Pacific Blue, Sky Blue, Cadet Grey, Jet Black or Toast, all of which will make sure the car looks classy, even whilst covered.

Having a Sunbrella cover will save you from constantly having to repaint the car to freshen up its exterior. It will also prevent the cabin of your vehicle from becoming overheated and too stuffy to drive, and will make sure that the internal system doesn’t get damaged from the heat.

A big advantage of Sunbrella is that it is practical. It is compact enough to be folded away in the trunk, so that wherever you go you can take it with you. This way you’ll always be protected. Also the cover is easy to wash, so when it gets dirty you can freshen it up at a fraction of the cost of a car wash, which is what you would have needed, had you not had Sunbrella.
